About the client

It's always hard to keep a community going after the main conference ends. KGC needed someone to take over the entire community and social media operation — not just post content, but build a system that keeps the community alive year-round and converts that engagement into real conference value.

Channels they had & community programs:

They had strong existing channels on LinkedIn and X, and wanted to expand into Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, and Substack. They had a library of speaker recordings, panel highlights, and educational resources ready to be distributed through YouTube and a resource hub. And most importantly, they had something most communities don't: well-known practitioners — industry leaders, researchers, tool builders — already inside the community, ready to become rock-star distributors if given the right framework.

KGC Monthly AMA session with conference speakers

Problem

Community programming that gave people a reason to show up

We launched a recurring event series — AMA sessions with confirmed KGC speakers and a monthly 7-Minute Demo Day for product showcases — hosted on Luma and promoted across Slack and social. These weren't one-off experiments; they were a consistent cadence that built audience expectation. By the time the main conference arrived, a core group of members had already attended 3-4 community events and expected to keep coming back. The Demo Day format in particular became the highest-performing community event, outpacing both AMA sessions in RSVP volume.

How we solved the problem

Cross-platform social media expansion & automated systems

We took KGC from two active channels (LinkedIn + X) to a managed presence across six platforms — adding Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, and Substack. All content was scheduled and cross-posted through Zernio(or we can build your own app as well) from a single workflow, with platform-specific formatting for each channel. Content included speaker spotlights, agenda reveal cards, track announcements, event promotions, and community recaps. LinkedIn became the primary growth engine, with engagement rates consistently high per post — well above industry average for B2B event brands.

Also, we built infrastructure so the community doesn't go silent when no one is manually posting. A Social-to-Slack bridge automatically detects new KGC posts across all platforms and drops them into Slack with a preview and engagement nudge — turning 3,700 members into a social amplification network. SPARK delivers AI-curated daily content drops into Slack, pulling the most relevant industry items from academic papers, blogs, subreddits, and conferences. A unified community dashboard consolidates metrics from all six platforms into one auto-updating view, replacing the need to log into six separate tools every week.

The Result

How TalkValue Solved It

What changed wasn't just the numbers — it was the posture of the community. KGC went from a brand that only showed up once a year to one that had weekly touchpoints, active conversations, and a growing base of members who engaged before the main event even started.

Slack monthly new members jumped a 278% increase — and more importantly, Slack-attributed conference registrations tripled. On LinkedIn, follower growth accelerated 116% lift. Weekly content consistently hit 5,500+ impressions with engagement rates that outperformed typical B2B benchmarks.

The community event series built from zero to 3-4 events per month, the Demo Day format became the top performer — signaling that the audience wanted structured, fast-paced practitioner content, not just panels. These events created a core group of active community members before the conference even opened its doors.

And perhaps most importantly, the systems we built — Social-to-Slack automation, SPARK daily drops, the unified dashboard, the weekly reporting cadence — meant the community kept running on infrastructure, not just effort. KGC entered conference week with a live, engaged base instead of trying to wake up a dormant one.

Tools we used

An AI-native agency runs on AI-native tools.

Our team works hands-on first — we learn the problem by doing the work ourselves. Then we build or adopt tools that let us do it faster, better, and at scale. Sometimes that means writing custom automation for a specific client. Sometimes it means reaching for the best open-source tool available and wiring it into the workflow the same day. The goal is always the same: spend less time on operations, more time on outcomes.
